Meet Sherrill Jolly

I have lived throughout southeastern North Carolina, but my family was from Lumberton, NC.  I am a product of North Carolina Public Schools and graduated from Lumberton High School in 1983. Go Pirates!.  I attended Meredith College in Raleigh, NC and graduated in 1987 with a BA in English. Go Avenging Angels!  Immediately upon graduation,  I was offered a position at West Brunswick High School.  I have been in Brunswick County since 1987 and proudly call this area home.  In 1997 I began my Masters Degree at UNC-Pembroke.  I graduated in 1999 with a Masters Degree in English Education.  Go Braves! I retired from Brunswick County Schools in 2018 after a 30 year career.

While I have no children personally, my former students will tell you I considered them my children!  When I am not at my part-time job as an administrative assistant with The Senior Center at Supply, I enjoy the beach, reading, and binge watching TV shows I missed the first time, but my favorite activities are working in my church and participating in Brunswick Little Theater in Southport, NC.  Both of these communities have offered me friends that have become family.

As I said, I began my career at West Brunswick High School in 1987.  While at WBHS, I was voted Teacher of the Year three times (1992, 2002, 2006).  In 2002-2003 I was the Brunswick County Teacher of the Year.I I also did the following:
