Wayne & Pat

Lately, things have not been easy for Wayne LaPierre. The NRA’s top executive finds himself fighting accusations of mismanagement and self-dealing while pleading with his organization’s shrinking membership for money to fund the growing number of lawsuits brought against them. To make matters worse, poor Wayne is being investigated by the IRS for criminal tax fraud. Seems his $2.2 million annual salary is not enough to cover his lavish lifestyle.

Wayne is, indeed, a busy man.

Yet, in spite of it all, Wayne LaPierre found time to endorse one of his favorite North Carolina politicians, Brunswick County Commissioner Pat Sykes. Why, you ask? Because Wayne knows that Pat Sykes will fight for the right of convicted felons to buy firearms. Because Wayne knows that Pat Sykes will fight for the right of gun owners to carry loaded weapons into bars and other public establishments. Because Wayne knows that Pat Sykes will fight for everyone’s right to own a lethal military assault rifle.

And when it comes to educating our children, Wayne and Pat agree that the best way to keep kids alert in class is to make sure they’re always on the lookout for mass shooters.

Wayne and Pat: Birds of a feather. Dangerous together.
